I decided it might be fun to weave a Levi jacket! They have been coming back "in" and I thought this might put a nice spin on it! This is my finished product.
I should have taken more pictures along my process, but I didn't. All I did was cut the legs off of two pairs of jeans and cut down the seam. Next I cut strips horizontally without cutting them all the way off, just leave a small edge. I did the same thing with the other pair of jeans but cut them vertically. Next I just weaved them together! I got one other pair of older jeans and used the thigh area of them to make the front two pieces and just sewed them to the weaved section. Next, I went and bought a $5 sweatshirt from Walmart and sewed it all together! Didn't take very long and it was pretty simple! I am very happy with my finished product! :)
I'm a poor college student surrounded by thrift stores. What's a girl to do?
My newest craft consists of only things that I found at the DI! Watch out world, I'm gettin' crafty!
Being a poor college student sure makes you see how expensive this world
is. So when you have no money and live in a town of thrift stores, you
become a crafter--that is right, a crafter. This summer I decided to put
my best crafting skills to to the test and modernize a 40 year old
desk. Being a girl and liking flashy things, I decided gold sparkles
would be my best bet. Here is my finished product.
Impressive right? More of this to come, I am a crafty chick. See you next time.
